50% off offer for the ferry finishes this Sunday 25/9 so if you are thinking of going to Bruinisse it is time to book your discounted ferry ticket now.
If you are not entirely sure you can book a flexi ticket for a few pounds more which has an option of refund if you change your mind.

Dutch Open Skiff Very Soon, Inlands Rescheduled, AGM Minutes

Make a brew and settle down for a good read...

Last week we had the sad news that the RS Vareo Inlands at Tata Steel Regatta 1-2 Oct was cancelled due to excess reservoir weed.

I am pleased to announce today that your Inland Championship has been rescheduled to the new Tata Steel Regatta 29-30 April 2017 (a time of year at which the weed has not grown too much!)

We now eagerly await the final calculations on the RS Vareo Magic Marine Grand Prix results...

Who has won the covetted title of RS Vareo Magic Marine Grand Prix Champion 2016 and the prize of the trophy and Magic Marine vouchers?

Your 2016 RS Vareo AGM was held at your Nationals. Please read Cheryl Wood's minutes here: http://www.rssailing.org/docs/RS%20Vareo%20AGM%20minutes%202016.pdf

Andy Howard has stepped down from being part of the illustrious RS Vareo Chair Trio. Thank you very much Andy for your hard work and sound ideas!

That leaves Cheryl Wood and Nick Crickmore happily leading the RS Vareo class forward into 2017.

Please contact us if you would like to help them steer the RS Vareo.

We are currently working hard on your 2017 calendar but we have one last big 2016 event: the Dutch Open Skiff at La Bruinisse in the Netherlands 8-9 Oct 2016

For more information go to the event page here: http://uk.rsvareo.org/index.asp?selection=Events&uid=1333&fleet=RS%20Vareo&detailevent=1

and please contact Nick Crickmore: [email protected]

For an idea what the event is like read Nick's report on the 2015 event here: http://uk.rsvareo.org/indexdetail.asp?selection=ResultsDetail&evid=3311

Happy RS Vareo sailing!
Cheers
Clare
